Another life / the Musician: Moe Potts, aka Marc Potocsky – Drums
Johnny winter & Moe Potts 1988- CT Artist– Rock Music Legend ART
Marc (Moe Potts) stared his drumming career playing in local New Haven bands beginning at the age of 14. After seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan He thought,” That looks like a good way to make living.” Moe became the drummer for CBS recording artists the Laughing Dogs out of Brooklyn N.Y. part of the Punk/New Wave movement out of CBGB’s in the late 70’s, early 80’s, touring extensively and recording two Columbia albums and many of the Laughing Dogs indie CDs.
Moe’s career has included touring internationally, recording and playing drums for Michael Bolton, Johnny Winter, Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, Billy Falcon and his very close friend Rod Price (of Foghat) in their band “Night watch,” and played on Rod’s last album “West Four” and “Rattlesnake Guitar: The Music of Peter Green.” along with Rod Price, Lonesome Dave, South Side Johnny and Harvey brooks.
Marc hung up his sticks for brushes leaving the music business after 30+ years and has since been a full time Fine Artist and Portrait Painter and owner of MJP Studios, a full service interior decorative painting company located in Branford, CT.
